Re: HRH Goth London and Sheffield - 12th and 13th September
"The new dates of HRH Goth will be on the 11th & 12th September 2021 @ the The 02 Kentish Forum and the 02 Academy Leeds". Email received today. I was planning to go to the London venue, but plans are so pre-plague, is anyone else hoping to attend? Do you think it will still happen? L...

She has sung with Solemn Novena and more recently Raven Adore, she sounds like Julianne Regan.

Still, am I the only fan of Submission? Broken wah-wah at the end, Carl on top form at Worthing and Brixton when played live...am I the only one who thinks present band can't play it? I'm with you about the magnificence of Submission, find it mesmerising and I agree, I reckon the guitar parts are v...

I loved Louise Crane's vocals in Solemn Novena and Raven Adore, very much in the vein of Julianne Regan, looking forward to new music from the Eden House.

Re: Possible Nephilim CD reissues
It says November 2013 on the BB website, can't find anything more specific than that. I think, as I have it all already, I won't be buying, same with the Love and Rockets, Bauhaus and Gene Loves Jezebel 5 CD sets. Good for new fans though.Mokat wrote:Any date for release of these 5 albums

Re: Carls childhood experiences, and spirituality in the Nep
I agree with the posters so far, for me there has always been an authenticity and feeling of depth to the Fields of The Nephilim's music and lyrics which I might not consciously understand, but which nevertheless appeals to me. They are a darn fine rock n roll band and Carl looks sexy as hell in his...

I enjoyed your review Sumerson, thanks for posting it. A friend of mine saw NFD at this gig and wasn't very impressed with the recorded bass.

@Wolflover I enjoyed the Cult article too and the cool fact that the woman on the cover of Phantasmagoria is Nick Cave's wife.
 No, no, no, no! I always found Paul Wright's haircut and his concentrated work on the guitar far sexier than Carl McCoy.
I think you may be in a minority there! Plus I don't believe Carl doesn't know that he is regarded as a sex symbol in some quarters. He's just being coy. ...

Re: The Cure ant the story of the alternative 80s music
I recommend it as well. It's got some lovely photos in it, which were very enjoyable, but I wondered if anyone else found the writing a bit basic. I realise that I still pine for the hyperbole of the big music papers, but it seemed particularly pedestrian and simple in style. Still, Carl's interview...
