Re: Ceremonies DVD
agree re. Shine; most of the Zoon songs suffer a little from being "not quite as heavy"... apart from Zoon 3 which actually sounds better for it. As for the closing pair of Mourning Sun and Celebrate... fcuking magical. The latter is proof that if anybody says the 2008 incarnation of FOTN ...

Re: Ceremonies DVD
having now listened to / watched most of it (prising MMXII out of the CD player ain't easy!) I'm pleasantly surprised. Excellent production, certainly on a par with Earth Inferno - in fact I reckon I prefer Ceromonies! Thought Preacher Man lacked some ooomph, but other than that I've no real complai...

of course they'd have to downsize... and it'd be all the better for it Maybe a one-off at Brixton next year ?
Would enjoy it if I went, but 300 miles to the nearest gig for a few minutes of KJ is asking a bit much of me

Re: The Cult, The Mission And Killing Joke... The Nephilim?
more to the point, I'm wondering why the Joke ARE on this bill. A band at the top of their game, supporting two goff-retrofests? hmmmm.... If only it was KJ, NMA and the Nephilim...NorthernNephilim wrote:Or after Leipzig 2011 he wouldn't like to be 0wned by Killing Joke 5 times in a row

would friggin love to do this - it's been too long - but Carl and his bastard habit of playing at inconvenient times has topped it by playing on my 20th wedding anniversary. Will most likely be in a cosy moorland cottage (again)

Re: SET LIST - Leipzig, June 2011
thought Carl's vocals on NGD were particularly impressive, yes; obviously there were some changes to the studio version, as happened with all the Mourning Sun songs. Just hearing it played live reminded me of the 24th Moment gig, and the feeling of hearing those songs (in that setting) for the first...

I thought that NGD was pretty well done, from that little fragment. Agreed, a very good move to put it in the set.

I'll add some more ale, if that'll help... and if a velvet gown will tip the balance, can do that too

Re: McCoy | Negal together singing PENETRATION
This Nurble bloke obviously has some taste, since he's covered both "Penetration" and "Total Invasion". Is there any way that the Behemoth connection can be bypassed for a McCoy/Coleman collaboration?

Re: So . . . is there ANYTHING going on?
saw some rumours somewhere on the internet that the band had played a few secret shows in the UK some time again, and that - wait for it - not only were the gigs filmed, but that they might be released on DVD!!!! OMG how cool is that? I think there's a trailer for it floating around somewhere, but I...

Re: Katowice set list
totally agree with Bruce. I'm glad those that went had a great time; and I'm sure I would have if I had gone too. But I don't have the time, money or inclination to spend on the same old songs. TBH there are very few old songs, yet to be played live with the new incarnation, that I'd get that excite...
