Re: NEPH GUITAR

Shastiov! I just caught up here, and listened to your video (yeah, I'm back on Google; what's a poor gal to do?...). There's much that interested me in your arrangement, many things. But I wanted to praise in particular your incorporation of parts of the vocal melody (it's not a particularly melodic...

Re: NEPH GUITAR

Thank you both for your interesting posts, holy cow!... I have nothing to add, except that I believe Paul wrote the parts that he played, such as the delayed intro of The Watchmen (which I have a hell of a time playing on acoustic, trying to finger-pick the delay). There was a TV appearance where he...

You're a trooper Marc-André! (hope i got that right) And yeah, where did all the other mods go?? -- it's like some rival forum had them all assassinated or something! "I run your heiffer, in another decade..." -- you know, cowboy stuff, when the Nephilim creme stops to trickle and fully curdles, like I think it finally is... (i grew up in a rodeo town in the wild west, although I don't know much about heiffers etc... that's just what I always heard.) On...

Re: Intro sounds on Wail of Sumer

Although there is keyboard involved, I believe the effect is mainly guitar feedback (with a little whammy), and tremolo with continuous modulation. For those who don't know the tremolo (as an effect, not the misnamed "trem" whammy bar), it is awesome, and you can also hear it as the pulsin...

Apparently I can still weep to hear the guitar work / production at the end of ATWYHBA ... sober! .... which is a good thing. Thank you Paul, Andy and Nod, probably in that order. I used to think these parts were played by "the slide guitar dude" (Peter now that I know) ... but is he in th...

Re: Currently listening to... Episode III

Well, people generally seem to like it - ... On the other hand, I'd convinced myself to hate "SLftBL" before I gave it a listen because of the unimaginable lack of Niels and his sax; and the very weird thing is I don't miss him too much - which may also mean that the album is very good. Y...
