Misheard Neph lyrics

Discuss about the albums and videos the band has released over the years. The band we are talking about here is of course F.O.T.N. and not side-projects, similar bands etc. Please use other sections if you want to talk about the weather.

Misheard Neph lyrics

Post by wild bill buttock » Tue Aug 22, 2006 7:27 pm

Lets face it until you see the lyrics written down old Carly boy could be singing about anything.
For years I thought he was singing "This tyre gauge" on "Trees come down" and was positive he sang "Hooray for me" at some point in "Psychonaut".
you lot got any more?

I like these calm little moments before the storm. It reminds me of Beethoven. Can you hear it? It's like when you put your head to the grass and you can hear the growin' and you can hear the insects.

i think an official lyric book with sheerfaith artwork would be a good idea. That would end any confusion and be very popular.

I read on one of the Neph lyric sites that McCoy actually enjoys reading people's misinterpretations of his lyrics.

I don't know if he's reading them or not (probably does)...but :

"Erase the Sun" ( hmmmmm) when it's actually "crescent and star" written on the website a while back...

or "longrazor/lawnrazor"

from Dawnrazor of course :P

Too bad I can't contribute anything really entertaining....would you believe we don't have the old neph material around here?

Psychonaut

me: Into this circle, push me far
McCoy: You deserve us, Leviathan

me: You look older, tombstones. The freedom is over.
McCoy: Young and old now turned to stones. Your freedom sold us.

me: Pray for me, look at you love
McCoy: Prayer for me - could you love?

and i just found out that the incomprehensible part that's repeated a few times, actually is incomprehensible. which is kind of a relief :D

I need to get my ears checked, 'cause the further i go through the lyrics section, the more juvenile mistakes i discover...

Darkcell
me: A million year to me
McCoy: the more you´re near to me

me: Passing differently
McCoy: apassing tear from me

me: Take the same, you're laughing with me
McCoy: Sing the name, lie here with me again today

me: from where it ends
McCoy: from where a bell

Trees come down
me: One more life in this dying age
McCoy: Running for her life in this dying age

Love under will
me: Between the cracks and hollows, love is good, love is good
McCoy: Between the cracks and hollows, the earth is good, the earth is good

me: Hey, it's me, someone's got so far
McCoy: Hey, brace me - someone's gonna suffer

For her light
me: Your effigy is all to find
McCoy: Your effigy dissolves in my hands

me: And I fail someone to die on
McCoy: And I feel like someone to die on
