Currently Contemplating a Live Experience with...

Post by Blue Angel » Sat Aug 18, 2007 11:27 am

We don't appear to have a "I'm off to see (insert name of band/variety act /stripper here) next month" sort of thread...

I'll start as I am currently contemplating The Wedding Present's 20th anniversary tour of the classic George Best album.

Also contemplating The Mission in Feb but no news as yet! :(

And am deffo seeing NFD on 31st August at Bill's house! :D

Anyone else contemplating or better still has, in fact, purchased tickets for anyone in particular?

oooooooooooh....I like this thread...:D
I was just thinking about that, that I need to sum up all concerts that I intend to see this fall...
If everything goes according to plans (that means me having money and time for all that)
There is....
28.9 Bijelo Dugme (means White Button) ....a band that was big in times of Yugoslavia....now there are only bunch of old people, living in the shade of past glory...but it's always great to hear songs that you grew up with...
9.10 - Muse...for which I hope that our ride wont be cancelled again...
13. 10 - Hladno Pivo (means Cold beer) - a funny croatian punk - rock bend
24. 10 - Korpiklaani....crazy finns :D
and least but not last : 9.12 - Therion and Vision Bleak...the latter I'm looking forward to see in normal circumstances...and not on a hot, sunny day like it was on Metal camp.

The Donnas and Bruce Springsteen will release new albums in September/October. Hope I'm able to catch them on stage in a not too distant future.
And when the promise was broken, I cashed in a few of my dreams

I saw the Beastie Boys last night and it was brillant, they did a one off in Denver and it was of their new instrumental stuff. Going to see Projekt revolution next month, Linkin Park, Korn, Snoop Dog and a bunch of other bands.

Nothing as yet, Bugger!
The first bit sounds like Bruce Wayne, and the second bit sounds like Batman.

I've got no idea. I'm guessing there's going to be at least a few bleeding hearts and eastfield gigs in the near future.

Is this also a "recently been to see" thread? 'cos if it is - NMA in WSM and Silver Dogs in Stockport this weekend. Both utterly bloody bwilliant.

I saw New Model Army in Weston-super-Mare last Friday, and i'm seeing Ricky Warwick in Cardiff on October the 10th. Aside from that, my diary is woefully empty...

T'army were bloody good too!

This weeks giggage looks like:
Saturday - Bleeding Hearts in Nuneaton
Sunday - Punk all dayer (eastfield, paul carter, rotten agenda, chris butler and a bunch of others...) in Kettering

The latter is an utter bargain - ten bands for a fiver!

I guess you were there too??! To be honest, i thought they were quite a bit below par - they didn't seem to take to the venue / audience, and i don't think the audience took to them terribly well either. Maybe it's because i was on the bike and had been drinking fizzy pop all night instead of beer, but it never really quite got going for me.... :|

I must confess that i wasn't too struck by the material from the new album either. Prhaps i'm getting old, lolol
