Philip Roth - American Pastoral
Even if it's not my style, I have been surprised by the novels of Philip Roth! A good friend of mine gave me as a present Indignation, which kept me sleepless for a few
nights. Now I'm reading American Pastoral, which has to do with the fall of the so-called American Dream. Well-written and full of surprises.

I'm stuck for more than a year now with "Quicksilver" by Neal Stephenson. I plan to use a notebook on the 2nd attempt to read it, so that I can put down all the three different names some characters have there.
For now I'm actively reading "The Secret of the English Occupation of Egypt" by Wilfred S. Blunt, which I do read as a follow up of "Egypt's Belle Epoque - Cairo and the Age of the Hedonists" by Trevor Mostyn.
As for leisure I began reading H.P. Lovercraft's complete works.

Me? I am reading "Fantasy Freaks and Gaming Geeks" by Ethan Gilsdorf. It is a travelogue of sorts about one man's journey attending roleplaying game conventions, LARP events, Ren fairs, fantasy / sci fi conventions, etc.
In April, I am looking forward to the 11th Doctor edition of "Doctor Who - Adventures in Time and Space: the roleplaying game" by Cubicle 7 Entertainment.

Mainly history books. From pure military history and tactics (I adore Osprey publishing) till historical novels. My favorite period is Europe of 19th and 20th centuries, which I try also to discover with trips and visits to museums and memorial sites. So mainly I'm trying to combine both, reading with site-seeing. I also like the ancient Greek and the Byzantine period.
I'm not any more into science or epic fiction but I'll be pleased if you have something really unique to suggest me. I'm always open to new stuff!

To my disappointment, it's not as spicy as Jenna Jameson's one.
