I agree but the stories do get get better, Still life with Crows was good, Brimstone was better and I'm currently pottering through Dance of Death, I have the next 3 novels aswell to get through.... I'm looking forward to them, Pendergast has his hands full facing off against his brother in the current novel...should prove interesting.
Is Pendergast the detective in "SLWC" ? If so, I understand why he was so underdeveloped in this very novel !
I thought the resolution on this one was… well I have mixed feelings. In a way, it was surprising, on the other hand, a tad mundane…
I also read his story about a hidden treasure, can't remember the title. Pretty decent AFAIR !
I have most definitely not given up on them ! You can't find a pearl in each oyster…

This is definately not your normal vampire novel, I'm thoroughly enjoying it.

For any Anne Rice fans out there...eat poo....this is better.

Yep, the Storm Constantine Grigori trilogy... Absolutely blinding!

Very thought provoking!

Cerebus is REALLY looking forward to the movie now. They'll probably feck it up though. Americans, for example, it'll probably have people with American accents. Meh. Maybe Cerebus isn't looking forward to it after all. But it would translate to the screen so well. Oh. Ah. Feck and Buggeration. Wait and see we shall. Wait and see. Then whine and complain a lot.

Small mention and appearance of a Nephilim in here:

Bloody brilliant, with such elegant and evocative writing !
In fact, I might get a local publisher interested in it…

Glasgows future is very bleak in this novel. Serial killers, rapists and undesirables are turned into useful members of society, their hair removed, lower jaw removed, sex removed and orofices sealed ...oh and they're lobotomized... turned into menials and let loose...to clean the place up.

What if one woke up from that nightmare??

This novel is darkly humorous, edgy, violent and in places quite disturbing...I loved it. :D :D, not your average book. *notworthy* *notworthy*

The series is going to be finished, and I am seriously looking forward to the next and final 2 books...I adorered this epitaph to a great man.
