Im always listening to all kinds of music, lately mostly metal in the various genere such as power, prog, some medieval , celtic, symphonic etc. The skill of these musicians is top notch and the complexity of their compositions is outstanding. I love all the different instruments and sound elements they use, dynamics and rhythmic diversity. Keeps the listener engaged and the musical experience captivating. It can be very uplifting too.

I guess why some of FOTN's music appealed to me, there is a bit of diversity in the types of songs and sounds and between albums. Thats one advantage to have rotating band members and a multitude of contributions. Also Carl working in things like sampled sounds added an extra dimension and interest.

Im also always listening to and playing Hawaiian music of course. It makes me feel like nothing else can. My spirit longs for the peace and pleasure of basking in the sun in a bikini on a white sandy beach listening to the happy sweet singing of braddah IZ or some slack key guitar. I appreciate a lot of dark heavy music, because life can be dark and heavy, no one knows better than me, but darkness really isnt for me. I long for light.
