For those who mentions Justin Sullivan's "Navigating by the stars", it's interesting to know that most was finalised during a two months trip on the ocean, on a cargo ship. Something Mr Sullivan always wanted to do and finally did, for his love of the high seas…

Thanks for the information on this, gratefully received! The album captures the feel of the sea to me, I come from close by to the Cornish beaches mentioned on the sleeve notes, I think that might have something to do with it. Great album

Blackmore's Knight - "Winter Carols".
About the only festive album that:
A) despite it's title, manages to be completely non-christian
and
B) is fecking, fecking, fecking
good.

Ooh, yes ! Apart from "Tales from the road" (as beautiful as this track is), I feel like when I play this CD, I just have to close my eyes and envision the sea at night…
in fact most of M. Sullivan's song have a very precise meaning. When you have the clue, it becomes obvious. (Like "What a wonderful way to go" dealing with NDE…)

Angels of Distress is a classic, the athmosphere is crushing. Didnt like the following Illusions Play that much though.
