Enlightenment needed for accurate details for what was the name of 'The Intro' song on The "Psychonaut" Tour etc...
What is it, where is it from, are there any other different 'intro songs' on this tour, where can it be found and what are other appropriate details concerning all this?

Any help would be much appreciated!

E.G. Fields of the Nephilim London Marquee 25th May 1989

Apparently, someone has this whole gig on VHS.

I started a thread about this myself - but can't find it now... If memory serves Scarwel provided the answer.

This, I am informed, has become known as the 'Wind from Hell'. It exists in 2 variants.

In 1989 the track featured vocals (taken from Kyrie Eleison) and in 1990 the vocals were dropped. Carl did not sing the vocals BTW, there are lifted from 'The Name of the Rose'.

The most complete vocal version is on the Marquee 1989 recording (not the youtube clip) - the most complete non-vocal version (undamaged) is on the Mainz Nov 1990 recording.

Will have to try to get the Marquee Club 1989 gig to listen/watch that you mention on the Excellent thread! Sadly, the mention of your "Dead But Dreaming onto 'Wind From Hell' and more 'Wind' on Earth Inferno and the 'almost there' intro to the Astoria 1990 gig with Kyrie laid over it" zippy links are expired... yet is ok as I can imagine and almost hear it from listening to the other already acquired elements on The Name Of The Rose, DBD, Earth Inferno and Sumerland 12" etc.

When you wrote from the other thread:
The Last Voice wrote:I'm going with the 'Wind from Hell' Dead But Dreaming version used as an intro to some 1989 and 1990 shows.
It would be much appreciated if you could expand on this/enlighten further...

As you wrote on this thread:
The Last Voice wrote:The most complete vocal version is on the Marquee 1989 recording (not the youtube clip) - the most complete non-vocal version (undamaged) is on the Mainz Nov 1990 recording.
The youtube clip of Fields of the Nephilim London Marquee 25th May 1989 at start of thread (as an example) is not the one you mean, so I perceive you are talking about another London Marquee gig in 1989. Which one, please? If this is the case, I would very much like to find to listen/watch both, if possible, as I love the old classic Nephilim moments.

The Mainz Nov 1990 recording also sounds very interesting...

Thank-you very much Bro! :)
Excellent research/observations/insight/hearing of output/and wonderful input here and there as usual!!

The other Marquee '89 recording is audio only, but is from the same date, and has little more of the intro music included AFAIR. It also has better sound I think. I don't bother with handycam footage at all so I might be mistaken with my comparison. *whistle*

I was trying to recreate the version in better fidelity - hence my persistence with that line of inquiry. I did manage to get a nice version together, a 12:30 version of For Her Light, which incorporated some elements of the New Version Three. *smoking*

"The Name of the Rose" OST part 5: Kyrie

The chant is "Kyrie Eleison" (from Mass XI, Orbis Factor, in the Liber usualis). It is also sampled in the track Mea Culpa (Catholic Version) from Enigma.
