People! Carmilla here. I haven't been on here for absolute ages. I spotted a few Reanimators on the ground floor and waved madly (hellooooo).
Is everyone going to the Sat gig as well? Shall we get a drink beforehand?

Hi there. It is in the bar outside next to the sbe? Today i passed by the place to see the groove. Some folks wich i asked if they knew about tony pettitt get to the show or not, some of them told me "i have no idea who the guy is"... well, some of them could be one of my kids...

So what E/P stands for? "Excellent premise"? "Eternal procrastination"?
And also was it 2 separate pieces? Because I thought that this instrumental part when the Carl left the stage was a separate song. Am I missing something?

Setlist.com is saying it's 2 songs E/P and Prophecy, did seem to be instrumental number followed by another

Oh, and a couple of words about the evening itself:
The first band actually takes the cake as the worst band I have heard live so far. Bravo!
You know how on those talent shows there is always this one guy who comes with guitar and no voice or ear? He then totally embarrasses himself in front of all the judges and becomes a walking humiliation. Well, that pretty much describes this band. I think we will come later for Saturday show in order to avoid bring tortured by horrible off key singing and music with no harmony, rhyme and reason.
HIM was kind of meh. Didn't like them before and this show didn't affect my opinion about them one way or another.
All in all it was really surreal to see a crappy grunge band and a self-proclaimed "love metal" band before the Nepfilim. I hope they're going to be more picky about the supporting acts in the future.
And the Nephilim really shined this evening. I was really surprised to see a character from Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl on guitar. But all in all he really fits to the band with that image. Post Apocalypse for teh win!
I really hoped for Shroud/STTL opening, but this more "traditional" opening was also damn good. I also wish there were more changes in set list. Will I ever hear Blue Water and Celebrate? Mmmm?
Kind of suffer now from the bruises induced by 100+ kg moshers. :( But what can I say? The new song and the gig itself was worth it.

Can't make this weekend unfortunately. :(

For those that are/were there what are your thoughts on the new number. Not really sure what to make of it from the video posted. Sounds more Nef than Neph. :?

Always hard to tell from a youtube clip as any subtlety tends to get lost, but as far as I can tell it's got a more metal edge than the classic material. not really surprising, given the current line up.
Being a fan of Zoon I quite enjoyed this.

on the setlist it was listed as E/P, and according to Facebook, Tony's wife was heard saying the new song was called 'Prophecy'. The first obe was a five minute Sumerland style instrumental, the second... here it is : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UoNRXtSxc0M

Well, the word "prophecy" is mentioned quite excessively throughout the song...

I loved the new song. But I may have been too overexcited to be a reliable judge...

Prophecy, definitely. Even a t-shirt with the word on! More Nef than Neph, as has been said. I had a great time both nights. It was lovely to see everyone again, and to meet some new people. Hopefully I'll be able to make the 40th anniversary shows! :P
