Demo recordings

Post by kazamel » Mon Aug 28, 2006 9:07 am

Is there any Fields demo material available? I have The Sacred and the Profane with some stuff on it, but that's rather thin comparing to other gloomy british bands around. I'm really quite interested in collecting this...
I like these calm little moments before the storm. It reminds me of Beethoven. Can you hear it? It's like when you put your head to the grass and you can hear the growin' and you can hear the insects.

Fields demos seem to be out of touch I'm afraid (apart from the sacred & the profane - provided that it REALLY is a collection of demos, which is quite unsure as far as I know)...
I've been looking for that kind of stuff for a long time without any success till now, but I carry on the investigation.

Aye first time I heard it there was much gnashing of teeth.

It could have been a contender (will need to dig it out and give it another listen).

Shame about the lack of demos, I wonder if there is any McCoy vocals without massive reverbe...
The first bit sounds like Bruce Wayne, and the second bit sounds like Batman.

Was just thinking the same, long time no listen.

For a few demos and other rare tracks I'd take a look at Coma's Share of the "Genesis" tracks:

Red 777
Chaocracy (demo)
Sensorium
Zoon (demo)
Sensorium b
Red 777 b
Chaocracy (from source)
Red 777 (demo)
Xodus (Xcitorium)

I took a look at those, and I love the Sensorium songs !

The first time I heard 'Fallen' was back in 2005 which was a black year (as in a terrible year) for music for me. But when I got home and settled, down I gave it a good blast but I was very very very very very disapointed with what I heard. This is a list of what I hated about it.:evil:

* Boring Industrial & chuggy generic guitars
* No long epic songs
* No incredible arrangments eg. Wail of Sumer, Preacher Man, Love Under Will, She, Last Exit, Sumerland, Moonchild, Requiem, The Watchman etc
* Too Short, 40mins is not long enough for a Fields album
* No exciting songs
* Bad artwork

and the list goes on. But needless to say I brought it back the next day and changed it for something better, I think it was 'Raw Power' by Iggy Pop.
If you pass through my soul tonight
Gather all his troubles
Tomorrow's long with eternal night
Gather for tomorrow
When I'm gone wait here
Discover all of earth's surprises
When I'm gone wait here
I'll send my child my last good smile

I like some parts of the lyrics and that's what saves it....
....and I love the last part of One more nightmare...it's fcuking great when playing it loud in my car and singing along "this dying age" :twisted:

Could you please upload "The sacred and the profane" bootleg? And Genesis too, please!
