Anything to rival the quality of 'Memorium'

Post by Elisium Fields » Mon Jun 18, 2007 10:19 am

Thanks to the weeding page I am now the proud owner of a copy of 'Memorium'. The sound quality, track selection and overall general atmosphere is as you all know, fantastic.

I am starting to piece together a small collection of live concerts on CD and would like to ask you good folk if there are any other bootlegs out there which rival the sound quality and atmosphere of Memorium?

If there are, I will be very grateful for the info. Thanks in advance.

Forever and ever (bootleg audio version of Forever remain) is IMHO the 88 equivalent of Memoriam. A must have for every FotN fan.

Edit : BTW, do you have this :

I am waiting for a copy of 'Forever and ever' (bootleg audio version of Forever remain) CD via the weeding page. I already own the DVD, so I am looking forward to hearing that set on CD.

I do not own the BBC Radio 1 Live In Concert disc, it is something I must get around to getting sometime in the near future.

The annoying thing though, about the BBC In Concert CD is that it's too bloody short!
I would kill for a complete recording of that gig!

Ande said the other day that a complete recording probably exists, but it must be gathering dust in the BBC's vault. :(

Thanks Aidy, I will look forward to seeing the results.

BTW I now have the Nefilim 'Hedemora, Sweden BBC Radio 1 Concert' on CD and have to say the sound quality is well beyond reproach :D

Now in posession of this fine piece..........the sound on this CD is totally amazing  and I cannot believe I have missed out on that 'charged' sound for all these years. This is an incredible sound from a very tight band who were obviously on top of their game at the time. I too hope the full concert can be located somewhere, it will be well worth listening to

Not in the weeding section for sure, as it's copyrighted material. But I've heard *cough* that some trades may have been arranged via PM. I don't know anything about it, of course. *wink* *whistle*
