I'm pretty sure it's "easy how lonely you are".

The lyrics are on the official website - they're just a bit hard to read.

If you look at the lyrics on the official website it looks like the first sentence is Easy slow lonely.
There is definitely not a how in there.
That would make the second sentence You are waiting at the sunday park.

Well, the lyrics are published in the album sleeve. It's just the first word is missing but it's on the official site strangely.
It's definitely "How lonely you are" - look at the S in Sunday Park.

Also if you look at the end where he writes "Oh Here Me" the H is the same as in "How".

I think it is "He said, how lonely you are"

As I said, there's clearly a how in there.

I must admit, I have always interpreted it as that myself.

it makes more sense...but when has McCoy's lyrics made that much sense. Only on the abstact plane do they make sense.

I always thought it was a different tense and it started

"He says how lonely you are"

it does sound like that.
