Hi, I can't quite understand some parts of what Carl says at the beginning of the album.

See hunter v farmer hypothesis on wiki, there's even more more genetic evidence now, and brain imaging. Within this reality, we're evolved and so there's a bio-diversity, most of the Western Euro population are evolved through being settled for so long into being farmers, who are patient, logical, objective, what used to be called left brained. They have naturally higher levels of dopamine, the satisfaction chemical. Aborigines, Native American's etc, and some Euro's as throwbacks, are hunter nomad types - right brained. Low dopamine, can't get no satisfaction. The lowest occasion of ADHD in the World is China, where they've been settled & effectively farming the longest, cuz of naturally cultivating rice highly concentrated in naturally occurring paddy fields. There are apparently 7 different types of ADHD according to brain imagining, and at least some are on the spectrum. I have an slightly Aspergers leaning form of ADHD (I'm Roma Gypsy & so nomadic heritage), very similar to Syd Barrett's type.
If you believe in reality, it kind of accounts for Goth. Even the sunglasses cuz of issues with eye contact being too little or too much. And smoking, it's self medicating stimulants. And magic, you can't do magic if you can't hyperfocus and flow.
