Fields Of The Nephilim - Sumerland (Dreamed Version) Lyrics
...
You're tempting me...
To all of life...
And all its pleasure...
Take me to the dream...
To the highs and the depths of my Soul...
...
Here we free... thoughts inside...
Giving up... for giving time...
How lost... life's been...
Afraid of waking up...
So afraid...
To take the dream
(Dream will come)
I see no Heaven...
(Take the dream)
Dream this far...
To see forever...
(Take me)
No bodies here...
There's no one at home...
(Take the dream)
All so gone...
To dream alone...
...
If I'm hearth enough
You're my ticket here...
If I'm heard below...
(Take me here)
We're the fools of our fate...
On this Earth I shall take...
(I take the dream)
Dream will come...
I see no Heaven...
(Take the dream)
Dream this far...
To see forever...
(Can't break free)
No bodies here...
There's no one at home...
(Can't break free)
All so gone...
We dream alone...
We're but fools of our fate...
On this Earth I shall wait...
By the roots of my Soul...
I am loosing control...
Take the dream...
...
(Take the dream)
...
Take me...
Take me...
Take me here...
(Thoughts of God)
Take me here...
(Dreams may come)
Take me here...
(Thoughts of God)
Take me here...
Take me... there...
Take me...
Take me...
{We can dream together}
{We can see forever}
Take me here...
Take me...
I believe!
Take me there...
...

You're tempting me...

Some corrections - you've added much in the ( ---- ) that seems correct, though I can't remember that penultimate line of 'I believe!' I suspect it's 'I'll Dream', coz it's all about dreamimg after all.Sumerian Memory wrote:Fields Of The Nephilim - Sumerland (Dreamed Version) Lyrics

Re: Fields Of The Nephilim - Sumerland (Dreamed Version) Lyr
Big thanx to you The Last Voice. Yes, this was Sumerland (Dreamed Version) ... I believe we can get this truly right. I perceive we are almost there. Our two seen versions combine to make an enlightening mix, I hope you listen to it again and see what I saw and wrote (as I do yours) ... Yet I think we need to listen/feel/see/know more. What do you think? What do you see? Is it a dream? What is reality? Do dreams fall from God? I am also now making a new post for the album version: Sumerland (What Dreams May Come) ... Forever Remain Brother, keep the sacred flame burning \\N//The Last Voice wrote:Some corrections - you've added much in the ( ---- ) that seems correct, though I can't remember that penultimate line of 'I believe!' Actually, the lyrics are reproduced on the inside of the 12" gatefold sleeves. Get the one with 4 tracks (White Marble sleeve) and enjoy.

Re: Fields Of The Nephilim - Sumerland (Dreamed Version) Lyr
Thank-you very much. I am aware that there are quite often slight and/or significant differences inbetween the official lyrics provided and what Carl actually sings/obscures his voice to give variations/subtle/hidden meanings. He also wants us to draw our own enlightenment and find out what he does not sing as well as what he does. I did not say my first submission or second for the other version on the other thread are totally accurate, yet very pleased for doing this without any written sources---until now, of course; and I am grateful/greatful etc. I will listen and record both Sumerland versions lyrics to re-write once more what it actually is (as I am very close to truly seeing---and again, one can ask what is reality; what is dream) from a combination of your provided lyrics and what is actually sung/can be heard. Of course, with all due respect; you are forgetting the quiet and subliminal voices/chants/singing and don't sound 100% certain that the lyrics you provided are totally correct; nor can remember hearing some of what I have definitely heard, marked and recorded; or at least replied to me in full. I have been an enlightened Psychonaut for just over 25 years and wished I did all the lyrics years ago... yet obviously very much enjoying myself now. Please excuse me if I come across very strong; I am merely very, very, very passionate about a great many things... For The Greater Truth... Waiting for The Darkness Before The Dawn to be enlightened by The New Gold Dawn. Perhaps things were deliberately omitted. Also, you may bear in mind, that Carl has a lot more power and control over what is researched/written/drawn/mixed/produced and completed today---almost complete control---order through chaos---than what was the situation then... I will be back today or tomorrow night. Thank-you for your 2nd reply. I still really do appreciate your 1st reply very much indeed. You have a very interesting Username! "We can dream together... We can see forever..." In any case, enjoy yourself---Forever Remain!! \\N//

Re: Fields Of The Nephilim - Sumerland (Dreamed Version) Lyr
The lyrics to the songs are of course important, and if one will allow, they take on a certain life once we hear them. If it's your intent to discover additional insight from Carls lyrics, by all means go ahead.
It is a great song after all.
My user name is derived from a secret recording that the UK government commissioned for use when the BOMB was going to be dropped. (This refers to the Cold War, and the arms race of the last millennium). Anyway, the UK had discs distributed to all the radio stations for them to play in the event that death would rain from above. These recordings were actually a state secret at the time. A disc was liberated and subsequently some of the content was re-recorded and used in the Annihilation Mix of the song Two Tribes, released 1984.
The original series commissioned by the UK for broadcast (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... nd+survive) was narrated by Mr Patrick Allen.
Patrick Allen read for this remix (https://www.youtube.com/results?search_ ... nihilation)
This is the chilling end to the Carnage Mix 12", this short clip uses an out-take of the Allen recordings and is the direct inspiration for my user name (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9eAKDCCcLY)
Now you know.

My dear Brother, The Last Voice, I believe from our combined knowledge, hearing, superior insight, researched wisdom and continuing appreciation of The Great Song; we have nailed it! I kindly urge you to hear his words and voice once more, with my last edit in your quoted transmission. I also really thank you for your links and knowledge. I already knew about some of the secret recordings. Yet of course can learn/remember much more now. My Grandfather was a Major in The Second World War and later became a 5th level Knight for his diplomatic peace operations at the end; therefore things like this very much interest me. "I believe! Take me there..." We can go ahead.

I had no further insight to offer, sadly the nurse stopped coming round with my 'medication', so I'm grounded in the mundane at the moment.
Consider that the information supplied is what I am comfortable with a forum of darklings knowing. I meant no offense, by omission or implication.

Who/what is the little figure with the ? above his head? It is the most interesting character in the picture IMO. Is he a Jarwa? Utini.
