red 777

Discuss about the albums and videos the band has released over the years. The band we are talking about here is of course F.O.T.N. and not side-projects, similar bands etc. Please use other sections if you want to talk about the weather.

It's on the Genesis bootleg. Try the sharing section :)

Yeah,it looks nice,doesn't it?

As for Red 777.I love that track. It's a pity that it has never seen the daylight in a proper shape.I think it was sort of preparation before Zoon.If McCoy wrote more of that kinda stuff after spliting with the old line up, Zoon could have been less shocking for some.

I totally Agree. Zoon was a bit too dense for many, but with songs like Red 777 and perhaps something like Chaocracy (from the Beggars Banquet sampler) it would have made it a more varied and stronger album.

I love Chaocracy. To me it is THE outstanding track in McCoys post FOTN work. Also the lyrics are bloody brilliant...

Red 777 is one killer track, is there a 'clean' version of it available anywhere?

How about Mc Coy's personal vault? You know the one : where he keeps things like Sleepers and Hollow Doll hidden away until we nag long enough for him to release them...

(And yeah, it is a killer track, would love a clean version if it's out there)

Would be great if decent quality demo of Red 777 exists somewhere. The middle guitar part is amazing. It's like heaven.

And, to be clear.I didn't mean that songs such as Red 777 should supplement or replace those on Zoon to make it easier to digest.No,no,no. Zoon is a perfect creation.I only wish if there was more that sort of music between year 91 and year 96.That would make a smooth passage to the world of Zoon. But does it really matter now?

Yes, I agree totally. To many Zoon is very harsh, almost industrial in sound. Red 777 would of been in good 'introduction' to the later sound due to surface.

Finally got to hear this song today (yes, I know I'm a bit slow!) - and was amazed at it's quality. Not the sound quality, obviously; but the fact that it's a fully fledged song. I expected something more along the lines of the Fallen material; but I think Red777 would stand among the all-time Neff classics if it were ever released properly.

I would guess that there IS a proper version out there somewhere (ie, in McCoy land) and I would love to hear it.

Reckon it would have been a great closing track on Zoon, actually.

Actually, I think 'Red 777', 'Sensorium' and 'Chaocracy' could of all fitted in nicely into the 'Zoon' album.............

I reckon on that original source CD the sound was bad as well?
