Neph/McCoy on Wicca & Paganism The A Z of Belief, BBCTV 1990
For those who got into the Nephilim after 1990, you may or may not know about this programme. Was obviously long before the days of catchup tv so was thankful to have known about it beforehand so could wind up the vhs and tape it.
Watch from 3 minutes in.

Nice one VetForTheInsane, thanks for sharing! Great to see Carl talking a bit about his knowledge in the matter.
But Mr. Kevin Jay, saying Psychonaut is a pop song, what were you thinking? We can see it's everything none than pop just by watching the short clip in this programme... But I understand with all those youngsters storming him like that with questions, questions and more questions, his brain should have been messed as shit!

Some what pedestrian interrogators and I do feel for that guy in the centre having to answer the mostly inane questions. McCoy I bet still wears the same jacket
From what I gather the video for Moonchild was just about on the edge but Psychonaut pushed it beyond all and got them banned from Top of The Pops

Imo it boils down to Hermeticism (that can even encompass Genesis). Like Syd Barrett may have been up to. In Pink Floyd's Saucerful of Secrets album cover is the Hermetic picture of the Microcosm And The Macrocosm, J.D. Mylius Opus Medico-Chymicum. The lead song Let There be More Light is about it. It seems very similar to McCoy, same thing in a different way. And Jim Morrison. Imo artists are mediums & mirrors, and may not know in exactly what way they are right & how much.

is that like the saying "life imitates art" ? Like how Star Trek had their communicators and then people invented flip phones? Did the producers predict the phone or did the phone makers copy Star Trek?Ulfhednar wrote: Imo artists are mediums & mirrors, and may not know in exactly what way they are right & how much.

Top of the Pops didnt ban them. Psychonaut, entering at no. 35, just wasnt in the chart long enough for them to be on. A new entry sometimes made the "breakers" when video clips of about 40 seconds were shown of about 3 songs (ie like they did with moonchild when it entered at 28) but whether a song made the breakers or not was very arbitrary given the number of new entries in a particular week. The fact that Psychonaut's video was what it was would have simply made it easy for top of the pops to choose another breaker. So, no it wasnt banned.MintyTheCat wrote: From what I gather the video for Moonchild was just about on the edge but Psychonaut pushed it beyond all and got them banned from Top of The Pops
Re Moonchild being "on the edge", there's no way anyone in tv would have viewed it that way or anyone else for that matter. The BBC later showed it in full as part of their top of the pops goth special on 31/10/2014 since they didnt have a past TOTP studio performance to show (in fact their only uk tv "performance" was doing the watchman on Club x on channel 4).

Nope, it's much more fundamental, life is a metaphor and art. Reality is art.WolfyBauwow wrote:is that like the saying "life imitates art" ? I really don't understand the point of a lot of these occult practices and ideas. For the most part, it just seems like a human construct, like all religion. The real power of the universe is in all things and all life without the need for that. Why the self imposed restrictions? Why not let it be whatever you want it to be?
All we know of things is from our tiny perspective , that being stuck on this point on this wave of perception we know as time which is just really us witnessing the morphing of space through a very narrow window of experience. People with set ideas out of books written by other humans, using redundant ritual etc , what is the point in that? How are you going to influence this morphic ocean by throwing 'seashells' at it? The way I see it, it's all about reading the waves. Its not just the substance. Its in the connections made, the fields and forces and the flow. Better off learning to surf it. I wish I would stop coming close to wiping out! lol
This guy is in tune with things , cowabunga baby! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsLZcSwHMts
When it comes to physics, I think he got pitted ...so pitted https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgQ5BJTSv9U
A funny story, I had this parakeet I rescued that had a thing about singing like crazy to Joe Satrianis music specifically. It was the weirdest thing. He would chirp a bit to other stuff, but when I put his on, no matter what album he would go into hyperdrive. Now that is magic, the ability to make birds sing lol

It's like the stuff I've read on spell casting and the like. Whats that gonna do? Not that thoughts dont have energy, power, they are a great starting point to set things in motion, still such practices seems to me like little more than a thought and a wish. You can't JUST wish for something to happen , you have to MAKE it happen. You still have to grab your board and surf that wave. You can't paddle around throwing those shells into the sea. Sure EVERY action has SOME influence on everything (butterfly effect), but realy whats that gonna get ya? But you could offer a shell to someone else so they can admire it (the beauty of art and music, love and charity) Your influence has changed the universe seemingly subtly in that moment but possibly with far reaching repercussions. Magic.
Or throw out a line, try to make a connection, to see what you might catch.
Right Capn' Carl? If wishes were fishes ,we'd eat good tonight.
