Mc Coy and Zola ?
I was re-reading some bits by Émile Zola recently (greatwriter !) and at the end of his novel "Nana", when the main character is dead, I found the sentence "Venus se décomposait" ("Venus was decomposing") "Venus decomposing" ? Coincidence ? Hmmmmmmmm. And double hmmmmmmm.
Fundraiser. You know, it's like Hellraiser, but without the Cenobites, the blood and all that.

Reason enough to grab a copy. Thanks Thomas.

wow. Thank you for that reference. I don't think that is a coincidence considering the dark themes in Zola's work and his interest in psychology.
I read Therese Raquin and La Bete Humaine years ago, but have read Nana.
when I've finished latest Karen Maitland's latest supernatural medieval yarn I'll try to get my teeth into that.
Might be a bit of a shock to the system. but I like a challenge. Many thanks
