Just hope some of those quotes come to fruition, otherwise Carl and the band are gonna get slaughtered again by some on here!!

Excellent, more things to look forward to! Also, the live recording of Sumerland that was playing in the background of the interview sounded pretty good, and also a bit different...by which I mean it wasn't one I'd heard before.

...I believe it was the 7" single version of Sumerland.

Well, I haven't heard that since my Mum's record player broke! :)

He said hopefully by the end of the year , he seemed very unsure.
I also thought he said new material not new album , so it could just be an E.P.

Come on guys you know we will still be waiting this time next year for new material , maybe December for the live album/dvd ?

Hell, that's hardly excellent; looking forward to is what we've been doing way too much recently for my taste.

New album by the end of the year? Has he been drinking?

Double live album he said. I didn't think Beggars Banquet would be re-releasing Earth inferno

I have to come to McCoys defence on this one.

specificaly he said he had "plans for an announcement" by the end of the year, and hopefully something but obviously he expressed that it was nothing definate. Thats not making some kind of promise about a release. What he said sounds reasonable as far as that since one can't usualy see into the future as to how things will turn out. He wants to evolve it in his time. That sounds reasonable too not wanting to force creative expression. Some bands do that because of pressure from record labels and such and end up churning out garbage.

Some artists are just more prolific than others. If it doesn't feel 'real' or right to him he doesn't want to do it. I can respect that.

Pity it must not feel right often :(

even McCoy laughed when he said by the end of the year...

New material? I reckon it might be a Christmas EP:

Last Christmas for the Lost
Blue Christmas Water
Oh Christmas Trees Come Down
The Festive Watchman (lyrics changed to "Yule see, yule see her...")

I'll get my goat...
