The Shellfishs Lament

pull up anchor boys,
the waters getting deep
If you had stayed in bed instead
right now you'd be asleep.

you been at sea too long
and have hauled a mighty catch
but now the fish are gone
with only mollusks in the hatch.

so said the oyster to the clam,
"things are not in our favor,
I think we're in a jam,
but swindleberry is not my flavor."

Call me Ishmael inside Clutlhu.

Some years ago -- never mind how long precisely -- having little or no money in TMG purse, drizzly October in my soul; and especially whenever my hypos get such an upper hand of me, that it requires a strong moral principle to prevent me from deliberately stepping into the street, and methodically knocking people's hats off --. TMGs my substitute for pistol and ball. With a philosophical flourish Carl throws himself upon his sword; I quietly take to the ship. There is nothing surprising in this. If they but knew it, almost all men in their degree, some time or other, cherish very nearly the same feelings towards the ocean with me

I'd wish Carl would take up his sword and fight rather than go down with The Money Gone ship. Or take to the Nautilus and the deep and gather his own forces. *cthulhu*

Sometimes, just sometimes, I hope Carl would decide to quitely retire from music and concentrate his efforts on Sheerfaith. He could also earn a wage as a lyric writer, engineer, producer, and also mechanic. He needs not Fields of the Nephilim to earn his crust.

Reading the above simply reaffirms that opinion (with the lovely exception of the very dear and lovely, Mr Thomas B, who is as ever very lovely). With fans like these, who in the firey hell would need any enemies?

I would comment further (such as how Carl is merely managed by TMG and not signed to their label, that he can seek management elsewhere, etc), but it would be another monumental waste of breath. And I no longer have the patience nor the energy to bother, quite frankly.

...I'll close the padded cell door, quitely, on my way out so as not to disturb you both! *whistle*
Yours, aye!

Isn't that what he has done during so many lean years between albums?

Retire from music? But isnt music in a persons blood? Its not something that can just be forgotten about and tossed aside is it?

I never got the impression that it was about earning crusty culinary catastrophies, but about the desire to create and perform being like very crusty barnacles that just don't let go.

A member, which another eminent member (Morphic I think) called "The aphoristic wonder".
He has already gone back under another attire, but his way of writing was unmistakable. And English was not his first, nor even second, language, so kudos to him (is that a strictly Yank expression ?)
I hope it doesn't sounds like I'm taking the mickey on him, because I'm not !

So, dinner and a movie, that will be ?
Any chance of a nosh ? Oops, sorry… That's Mister Weeblewoobles line !

Just imagine if Durak (or the previous 'incarnation') are NOT Marduk.... what if there's some kind of spawning ground for this strange and wonderful race of people, and they all start posting on Dawnrazor?!  *notworthy* *cthulhu*

Perish the thought.
Be kind to thy brethren.
All will come in due time.
Wherever you go, there you are.
Despite the emptiness that lingers
In the depths of this woeful month
But remember : first things first.

There was a grouse that was a mouse
Neighbours, everybody needs good neighbours
And TMG paid the ferryman
with a little understanding
and when the sky cracks open
you can find the perfect blend
here comes the singularity
prey; for me.

Alright, I am.
All in due time.
The good shall be rewarded
Lunacy is in the eye of the beholder
Perchance to dream
And anyway it's all bollocks.
