Yes, and I'm sure Robert Howard ripped off FOTN ! *whistle*
Fundraiser. You know, it's like Hellraiser, but without the Cenobites, the blood and all that.

Hm, I admit that the two former movies of the director decided me to wait for the DVD. BTW I liked how everyone trumpeted "From Robert Howard's novel !" without thinking, while there are no novels in the Kane corpus, onluy short stories…
Besides, there saw only ONE Solomon Kane, it was Lance Henriksen. We discussed this long ago with Howard fans when the project began and we all agreed on this. Too bad that, with all due respect, he's now too old for the part… :?

OK, maybe a few years late on this one but since we're on the topic of cinematic parallels (Sergio Leone aside)...
Do not the shrill soundfx accompanying the Ringwraiths in Lord of the Rings not strike an eerie parallel to the opening soundfx of Dead But Dreaming? + the similarity between Viggo Mortensen's Aragorn and our own McCoy seem truly uncanny. Verdict? Peter Jackson must have been a Fields fan, or maybe it's just me?
Either way, there, I said it.
