The Nephilim - 20th Anniversary
Yeah, yeah, I know it was last September...
But I'm just thinking... did we (as in the forum) miss the anniversary? Was nothing said?

I usually hate it when bands do that, as it is almost always money-grubbing at the expense of the fans. There are a few exceptions, though. Skinny Puppy re-released a couple older discs, and the sound improvement is amazing.Pandora Panorama wrote:a re-release would be awesome. remastered, outtakes, etc. Would be great for us and bring some money into the pockets of the boys.
I'd buy The Nephilim in a heartbeat.

Aye, I hear he is also working on a liquid brick and an mp3 player that boils eggs....NorthernNephilim wrote:On every of the 500 interviews Carl says "DVD is in Progress".weebleswobble wrote:why no special re-release 5.1 with demos, outakes etc-we wuz robbed
The first bit sounds like Bruce Wayne, and the second bit sounds like Batman.
That would be indeed awesome as other people have said. I had to beef up the volume of my Nephilim albums because they were AAD which is way too low volume for me. I don'nt know why Beggars Banquet have'nt remastered them yet, because as everyone knows, they are classics.Pandora Panorama wrote:a re-release would be awesome. remastered, outtakes, etc. Would be great for us and bring some money into the pockets of the boys.
If you pass through my soul tonight
Gather all his troubles
Tomorrow's long with eternal night
Gather for tomorrow
When I'm gone wait here
Discover all of earth's surprises
When I'm gone wait here
I'll send my child my last good smile
Gather all his troubles

Gather for tomorrow
When I'm gone wait here
Discover all of earth's surprises
When I'm gone wait here
I'll send my child my last good smile

Three keys to achieve and to capture the core of this album.
and Endemoniada: such a fine song, always overlooked...

I like Shiva, I don't understand why it's a song so "hated". Very dark, great atmosphere.
And then Shiva has a particular rule in the album, IMHO, it breaks the first part, more violent and direct and it introduces the second part, more quiet and soft. Shiva works and sound good.
Phobia instead doesn't like me. The worst Nephilim song again Power for me.

I like them both very much, though Shiva does break the flow of the whole, IMHO. A great b-side, though.Mont Ventoux wrote:I like Shiva, I don't understand why it's a song so "hated". Very dark, great atmosphere.

Power is neat, too
Btw, we've said all that before. Many times.
