Been shopping on Bandcamp and currently feeling really trippy on tracks like Station Seven Three. Awesome.

Re: Peter Yates
very cool indeed, sounds a little like The Doors, and that's not bad at all
“The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.”

Re: Peter Yates
from Pete's fb:
"I don't play live much anymore [...]
But occasionally I'm lured out of retirement so this year I will be playing at WGT 2016 at Schauspielhaus, Leipzig on 15/5/16 and I'm thinking it would be cool to do a couple of warm up gigs along the way. They have to be a minimum distance of 250km from Leipzig, so I'm thinking maybe the options are Liege, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Cologne?
So if you know anyone who might be interested in promoting and organising a couple of warm up shows for WGT 2016, send me a P.M.
I won't be on my own, I will be with friends;)"

Re: Peter Yates
Excited?...Hell yes!
Try to imagine Preacher Man without the slide, Last Exit sans ebow, Elizium stripped of its prog elements. No Endemoniada either. And who wrote the riffs for Love Under Will and For Her Light?
Less than 55 hours to go. Pete Yates' solo debut. New music. And some treats for collectors.

Peter Yates - guitars and vox
Evi Vine - bass and vox
Steven Hill - guitars and synth
Dave GB Smith - drums"

Re: Peter Yates
Sorry but Pete Yates is just a power chord strummer with a bit of ebow added in, very basic, very primary. Always second to Paul Wright who is differrent class. Remember Pete was left out the 2000 FOTN reunion!Dravid wrote:Try to imagine Preacher Man without the slide, Last Exit sans ebow, Elizium stripped of its prog elements. No Endemoniada either. Good luck to him but he's just not in others league.... unfortunately

Everyone is entitled to their own misconceptions. I fancy my worldview infused with just a tad more factual accuracy.
Whatever, I just returned home from the "chord strummer's" solo debut. What a mesmerizing show! Haunting, captivating, intense.
Peter Yates and Evi Vine shared vocal duties. Pete on guitar, Evi on bass. Steve guitar/sonics/keys/synth. Dave GB Smith drums/percussion.
1. In Murder - ascending, took me in completely, what a start
2. War After Paris - free slide lesson for anyone trying to play Nephilim
3. Paranoid Again - ebow tutorial
4. Bullets In The Bay - granted Pete is not the most gifted vocalist, but proof that he is more than good at it
5. Stargazer - wow
6. Station 73 - Pete and Evi rise
7. Walk With Me - even better than the previous version, leading to standing ovations
If you ever have the opportunity to see such a band at the Schauspielhaus in Leipzig, make sure not to miss it. Breathtaking sound, technics, venue, atmosphere.
Followed by a stunning Brothers Of The Trees show (actually morphing into a full-fledged And Also The Trees throughout the set) and Legendary Pink Dots with Edward Ka-Spel in top form.
One of the most memorable concert evenings I've been to.
And not over yet. Rushing to the next venue now for PIL.

Re: Peter Yates
This guy is fast getting on my nerves! After months of griping because he was LUCKY to be in FOTN he just sank to all new low... Mr Yates has just published his royalties or lack of which I think very, very not cool. Childish even! Like a wronged woman full of scorn he KEEPS on with mild references to FOTN and all thats wrong with the current line-up. Wish he could come to term with his part he played with more pride like the Wright brothers do. What ever is posted just stink of resentment that he not invited to Fallen reunion or subsequent gatherings. Shut up or put up please cos you did some cool parts on some fine tracks but you are fast blowing it!! Or am I imaginig it?

The implication being that you think "wronged" women should shut up and stop complaining about their mistreatment. A poor choice of words.TruGoff wrote:Like a wronged woman full of scorn he KEEPS on
