Waking the dead Preorder Relase Nov24th

Guess this band doesn't need any closer presentation. If you don't know of them (shame on you) you should check them out immediately. They play live on a regular basis and release records.

Any review positive/negative can only be an idividual's single personal opinion, no more. Many will love something, others less so-neither may be deemed right or wrong, no change there then.

First album with Rippin and Carey et al - *notworthy* Sublime!
I believe Mr Carey had nothing to do with the first album..

Point taken though I mean't the classic line-up era which indeed involved Mr Carey.

I appreciate the negative reinforcement for argumental balance-but it won't stop the evidentially many who think differently from loving it..
They are no less valid for doing so and nor is their reasoning!

Most fans like it but overwhelmingly the opinion is that it really isn't up to the previous releases.
Everyones opinion is valid
those who aren't in love with it and are disappointed are also no less valid for doing so and nor is their reasoning!

Yes, that is what I said!

I'd love to help with info on Mr Pettitt, but just an avid fan here!
Maybe you could try messaging their Facebook for details?

If Hamon Hada  keeps trying to bury differing (I'm only quoting other's posts ) opinion with too numerous replies a re-post may be in order...

Yes, replying to you Vlad!
I'm starting to think NFD isn't your favorite band!

You are allowed to have your thoughts as they are yours and yours alone though I'm really beggining to think you're a member of the band as you seem to need to have to last say!

So again...

Evindently not but your last protestations are fast becoming coercive! *whistle*
Are you a band member or a girlfriend of the band?
Google results for reviews on the new album and this is top of the pile...

Waking the dead is long waited and quite good but i´m missing the point on the i like above mentioned

Sorry, but seems to me that it´s the last cd and all the stuff since 2009 is released to make an end, its good handmade music but the small thing that makes it so special and extraordinary like the others is missing
Stranger wrote:I bought the CD. Listened to it a few times.

It's... ehh... I find it to be a bit dry & flat-sounding, lacking the atmospheric, hypnotic & dynamic sound that pre-Reformations NFD possesses. It's a decent album but it sounds, for lack of a better word, unfinished. Like it would have greatly benefited from outside collaboration or a few more passes at recording & mixing.

I'd give it 3/5 at this moment in time. Decent musically but lacking that sense of vitality found on the pre-Reformations albums.
I am inclined to agree with Stranger and whilst the music has the correct elements in the correct places and is presumed mathematically correct it sounds pieced together, drums then guitars then vocols but not a cohesive aural picture eminating from the speakers. Methodically put together as opposed to a band finding their way through the process.

NFD era with Rippin and Carey et al - *notworthy* Sublime!

Needing the last say on a matter is a quality that very quickly leads to not being a member of a band isn't it??

Forums are for putting forward everyones thoughts equally and fairly.
Including mine, though I'm starting to feel bullied here Vlad.

From what I can hear, production values appear much enhanced in comparison to earlier pre Reformations work-and really the quality of instrumentation sounds and their seperation in the mix, seem very clearly far superior to anything that went out under the NFD name before...

Still, that's the beauty of music's subjectivity aint it!..
No need to be condescending.

Genuinely no patrony or superiority is implied here.

Simply offering a (clearly very) different opinion..

This is a forum after all..
