Reformations EP out June, Waking the Dead out October

Guess this band doesn't need any closer presentation. If you don't know of them (shame on you) you should check them out immediately. They play live on a regular basis and release records.

Reformations EP out June, Waking the Dead out October

Am I really the first to post this?
MINI ALBUM 'REFORMATIONS' OUT JUNE 2013

Yes, I left the typo. I didn't want to impose myself on the official announcement.

I don't think that posts on band facebook pages appear in news feeds automatically now so a lot of stuff goes unnoticed. It's a bit shit really. But I'm sure the new NFD album won't be 8)

Yes. I've never really cared for the way most bands & labels use only Facebook & Twitter for their news updates. I miss the days when I could be informed by going to a band's official web site, or blog at least. At least The Eden House still posts info on their web site.

Would it be heresy to say that I find myself more enthused by NFD & Eden House announcements than I do "official" FOTN announcements?

Btw, I've been away from this board for a while. There seems to be a significant drop-off in activity. Have members migrated, or has a weariness set in?

The latter I assume. Many have migrated to facebook, but only in the sense that they have an account there, but there's not really a central Dawnrazor-community there.

Sounds really good.
The Silence of Angels is just epic.
Can't wait for the EP and album.
Maybe some shows in The Netherlands

So...Reformations...what do we think?

I was initially underwhelmed but now it's really growing on me.

Some pretty heavy riffs and cracking guitar parts too.

A more progressive sounding NFD.

Nice.

:D

Plus...nice to see that Bob thanks us all here! Cheers Bob!

Don't have the CD yet (though I have ordered it), but I've been listening on Spotify. Fave tracks so far are "Remain in Chains" and "The Highwayman". Overall, I'd say it's good, but it leaves me wanting more...good thing there's a full album coming soon! :D

Had this a couple of weeks now and it hasn't left the CD player, a little short for my liking but it is an EP. Faves so far are Remain in Chains and One Slip, love what they have done to a Floyd track, splendid stuff. Looking forward to the album now :)

Powerful stuff, although I could do without the extensive guitar solos. My personal favorite is "the unknown", which -for me- is the NFD trademark in terms of song writing and equal use electric and acoustic guitars. I also liked the lyrics and the excellent layout, photos, graphic design etc. Overall a quality release! Good job guys

Kostas I really love that 'Tides' ep. It was really outstanding. Any idea when Opened Paradise will be bringing out a new album.

I though the new NFD ep 'Reformations' was outstanding and I love those extensive guitar solos. 'The unkown' is an awesome song and 'Remain in Chains' is another brilliant song. I'm not so sure about 'What Will be Will be' though. Otherwise it's a fantastic ep, and I can't wait for the new album.

they are currently working on a new full length album mate, don't know when it will be finished though. Now back to NFD, their new ep is definitely a grower. Love it more with every listen.
