Dear agony Aunt Admins,
Im having a bit of trouble with posting pictures..

Is there a bug in the system that wont let me post images from flickr for example..

It continues to give me the line-
[img]http:/myfabpic_url[/img]

...instead of actually showing the pic..

What should i do?

Yours,

You can't link the picture directly from your computer it first needs to be hosted somewhere on the Internet. Where are the photaes stored? I only post ones from my photaebucket account and that predefines the IMG tags for me:
Image

the code looks like this [ (GAP) IMG]http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h25/t ... oto091.jpg[/IMG]

^ What Weebles says... *notworthy*

Photobucket's a piece of cake to use, and does indeed generate the code automatically; you don't even have to 'copy' the code, as it's copied onto your clipboard as soon you click on the format you want.

Can't speak for Flickr mind...

I'm not sure how Flickr works, so I can't answer this question right now I'm afraid.

Might do some research though..

in the example link you posted above you will notice a space between the [img] and the http... , I don't know exactly why but I've noticed sometimes when using the img button it will introduce something like that and the picture won't post. Code is like that you have to have every character right. Also it wont post the tag where your cursor is it always sticks it at the bottom. I find it easier and simple enough just to type the tags.

I don't know if this is your prob as I don't use flickr but hope this helps
try posting a pic and if it does't work I'll take a look at your code

Well guys.. thanks for responding but i am aware of all that has been mentioned.
I think it might be a compromise issue between the flickr code and the access limitations i have placed on who can see the images.( passworded)
flickr allegedly offer a guest image code for each of my uploads and i think the problem might be with these.

Just to double check im gonna set up a photobucket account and check it all that way..
Fanks anyways xx
