Fields of the Nephilim in Noise Magazine

Post by Naphtalin » Thu Sep 09, 2010 4:47 pm

Apparently there is a two-page article in this French magazine and some photos. The interview has been done during the Hellfest.

thanx - oh thats nice but a long text in small letters. Maybe some of our friends from french legion could translate the important points .... like when will the fcuking DVD be released a.s.o.
“The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.”

As a fervent reader of this excellent mag, it was for me a good surprise to see the Nephs on the summary....but to be honest, and as usual, nothing really new...except that the sleepers thingy will probably be trashed and that the DVd will be released zoon *whistle*
You know, this is a metal-prog-jazz-whatever else mag'...the guys who read this one are maybe not very familiar with FOTN, so this article try to introduce the band (lot of past, some present - the reason why they play Hellfest- a bit of future).
So i don't really take time to translate this cos guess what, nothing new....

Thanks Naphtalin for this info, I would have missed it without your mentioning this interview. I still have time to go to the kiosk today to get my Noise Mag.

I've bought mine too and I can't help smiling at Carl's sentence "They worked hard on the production (....) I'm really happy with the result" talking about the DVD.
How could this not be released then?

And also "working on new tracks is the priority"

So many good news :D

I was particulary impressed with his commitment to taking bacon into the stratosphere

*whistle*
The first bit sounds like Bruce Wayne, and the second bit sounds like Batman.

We'll probably hear the same thing next year. And the next…
Fundraiser. You know, it's like Hellraiser, but without the Cenobites, the blood and all that.

Turned out it's not good enough and needs improvement. And new footage. And then some more improvements. And then . . .
And also "working on new tracks is the priority"
It's always been. I, for one, am quite confident that he's been writing and recording new tracks since 2005. Just as I am rather confident that we won't here any of them.

It's Monday and I couldn't get the 17 issue of Noise yet.
In the meantime I have to be satisfied with the publication you mentionned on top of this page Naphtalin, and the enigmatic title is already er.. fun? No, exhilarating *notworthy* It reads :

JE ME SENS PROCHE DE L UNIVERS DE PERSONNE = I FEEL CLOSE TO THE UNIVERSE OF NO ONE*

(*) NO ONE rather than NO BODY *smoking*

That's his answer to the question "Do you feel close to Watain's "peculiar" universe?"

So this mag is just another explanation of Relative Theory:

Release Date is Relative...
Time is Relative, like Words (....shortly .......)
everything is relative ....
or release date is hidden on parallel universe, string theory, brane theory what else ever

And also "working on new tracks is the priority"
Endless loop, or seems to bee like they are recording sutff, but studio located near a black hole so everything gets to Null Materia and can get out ....

McCoy should play on Hawking or Einsteins Birthday....

You may joke, but Professor Stephen Hawking may be a fan of FOTN! He is a fan of Pink Floyd and attended one of their 1994 concerts.

"When I was just a little Goth
I asked my mother, what will it be
Will it be Nefilim, will it be Nephilim,
Here's what she said to me.

Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
Carl's future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be!"

What will be, will be. If the Ceremonies live CD and DVD get released, then great. If not, then so be it. The earth will still spin on its axis, regardless, and life will go on. Carl McCoy is but a small part of our lives and should not be taken too seriously. Or in other words...

"Calm down, dears! It is just a very temperemental old Goth who likes to take his time and who's plans sometimes come to a halt!" - Michael Winner (misquoted again).
